Eggless Cookie Dough
One Little Project
Hello cookie dough!  I’ve gotta say, my favourite thing about making chocolate chip cookies is sneaking a few bites of the raw cookie dough. I know, I know.  You aren’t supposed to eat raw cookie dough, but I just can’t help myself!  Which is why this safe-to-eat, eggless cookie dough recipe is AMAZING!

Confessions of the Perfect Mom
I am done. D. O. N. E. Now don’t go judging me, I am a good mom. I promise I am. My girls are happy, healthy, well adjusted, and polite girls. They are well behaved, and patient. Basically, they rock and since they rock, then I must have done something right. Going to pat myself on the back and give credit where it is due there. But that said, I am done doing the following things. Not only am I going to be done doing them, I am not going to feel bad any more about not doing them.

Buffalo Chicken Stuffed Peppers
Almost Supermom
Continuing with the whole red pepper theme, I whipped up these the other day when I was really craving some buffalo chicken dip. While part of me just wanted to sit down with an entire bowl of dip and a bag of chips, my getting too tight jeans vehemently begged me to eat some veggies. So I compromised and put my yummy buffalo chicken dip inside of a veggie and added some rice (quinoa would have been better, but we were all out, gah!).

Stuffed Buns
Jenn's Random Scraps

I made these stuffed buns for the kids' lunches again, and it's time that I share this simple and oh-so yummy snack / lunch box treat with you.  The first time I made them I used leftover chicken and broccoli in the filling.

DIY Tween BoyToss Pillow Covers
Re-do It Yourself Inspirations

Redoing a growing boy's bedroom has been challenging and fun at the same time. It's certainly allowing me to be resourceful while being thrifty-crafty!

I bought a cheap toss pillow at Target that was perfect for the American Boy theme.

45 Clever Kitchen Gadgets
One Little Project

There are clever kitchen gadgets for just about every kitchen task!  I had no idea some of these even existed!?  From simple tasks to things you never would have thought of, I guarantee you will find something on this list you’ve never seen before.  I have at least 10 of these in my kitchen right now with plenty more on my wishlist.

I'm reviewing some water decals I was sent by Born Pretty today! I'd actually never used water decals before, they were way easier to use than I thought they'd be, I thought you had to press them onto your nails like a tattoo, haha.

I started with a base of China Glaze Sunset Sail and a thin coat of China Glaze Luxe & Lush, I'm really loving all the iridescent glitters at the moment. After applying the decals I finished it off with topcoat.

Carnitas Tacos – Slow Cooked & Delicious
the recipe wench
Fall-apart-tender chunks of pork, sprinkled with cheese, drizzled with salsa and wrapped up in a nice corn tortilla.  Add a couple of friends and a few beers (or margaritas!) and you’ve got yourself a fiesta!

Hot Chocolate Barbecue Sauce
Living Chic on the Cheap
Hot Chocolate Barbecue Sauce! I know this sounds a little odd, but please try to keep an open mind. Yes, you read it correctly. This barbecue sauce contains chocolate. I was looking through my bookshelves and came across four boxes of recipe cards and I was instantly drawn to this recipe.

Thrift Store Table Makeover under $3 (*Including the table)
Vikalpah

I ended up with this project when we were in real need for a large table. My husband wanted to get rid of the small glass table we already had and wanted a big table to accommodate his external monitor and also the laptop. We may move anytime so we don't like to splurge much on furniture and so we always hunt thrift store when there is a need.

WHEN TRIALS COME BECAUSE OF GOD’S WORD
Godly Womanhood

I started this year with these words ringing in my spirit: Know your God.

I talked at length about how 2015 is the year to get impressed with God and started a blog series from that revelation. Alex and I began writing the Know Your God book which we planned to publish this year. I even started the Instagram hashtag #knowyourgod2015.

TWIX® BROWNIE TRIFLE- A DECADENT CHOCOLATE DESSERT
All She Cooks
Caution:  The following blog post and recipe might cause you to want to stop what you’re doing and go to the store because this death by chocolate experience is one you don’t want to miss.  If you’re looking for a Chocolate Dessert that is decadent, with layers upon layers of chocolate… including out of this world TWIX® chocolate brownies… well, then you’ve come to the right place.

Lord, Light My Path
Finding Our Feet

By this time in the week, I normally have a post out, but I’ve been evaluating my life and just didn’t feel ready to post any of the posts I already have waiting for me to click ‘publish’. This past weekend my husband and I attended a FamilyLife Weekend to Remember marriage event and had a wonderful time. It helped us refocus on Christ and His design for our marriage and it was timely and encouraging.

Welcome Spring at the Door: A Super Easy, Super Beautiful Overflowing Umbrella Display
The Art of "Why Not?"

In many parts of the country spring has been around for a while, and my home state of Florida is even moving into summer already. Here in Maryland, though, spring took its own sweet time arriving. But it has certainly burst onto the scene in all it’s glory!

Chicken Empanadas

everyone likes a good fiesta!  Check out these easy Cinco de Mayo inspired empanadas!

Grandma Shirley’s Pancake/Waffle Recipe
A Mother's Shadow

My Grandma Shirley was FAMOUS for this batter she made into pancakes and waffles. My family has become known for this also. They are A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. a tad bit of work, but well worth it!

Margarita Strawberries
Olla-Podrida
t's not that I spend a lot of time thinking about cocktails, but I was thinking strongly about a strawberry margarita the other day having just returned from a successful bit of fresh produce shopping that yielded some amazingly good tasting strawberries. I thought just how wonderful a strawberry margarita would taste, and then began to think about what a great combination of ingredients strawberries, limes, and orange liqueur make. Then I thought how delicious this would be in edible form and set to work making the edible strawberry margarita.

New Ruffle Flower Rag Quilt in Turquoise and PInk in Multiple Sizes PLUS Pillow Shams
A Vision to Remember

I had a customer request a modification to one of my most popular quilt designs. She wanted a full size ruffle flower rag quilt with 2 pillow shams. I was beyond excited to make this set for her. It has been a quilt that I have been wanting to make into a larger version, but without having a customer wanting it, it never got done.

A Tale of 3 Curios, Part 3
DEBBIE-DABBLE
Some time ago ( last year), I mentioned that my neighbor's sons were kind enough to give me 3 Curios from my neighbor Elly's house, which we are watching because she needed to be placed in a Nursing Home due to Alzheimer's.

Louie on the hunt!

Louie is my hunter and today was no different. Although it was raining, Louie was out front hunting. I thought he was trying to get a gecko. After awhile, he started barking and barking. He would bark, look at me and then on the ground. I knew he had something. I was surprised to see what he had caught.

Garden by the Barn

I have been trying to get my gardens ready for summer. I always seem to be adding mulch when the weather is hot. We are unseasonably warm here today - 95. Quite hot for April. I got the mulch in a few weeks ago, before I got sick and I didn't get to finished decorating. So today, while my husband is in Italy, I decided to finish them.

Plumeria Blooms

When you are under the weather, there is nothing like some sunshine to cheer you up. I have been fighting this bronchitis for over a week and frankly I am tired of feeling bad and coughing. The coughing is the worst part. Yuck!

Although the sun has been shining, it is these lovely plumeria blooms that are brightening up my day. I grew this plant from a cutting and now it is blooming. I am so excited.

Chicken and Kale Soup

We love Kale in our house and I am always looking for recipes that have Kale in them. When I saw this soup recipe, I knew I had to try it. Not only was it good, but it is low in calories (279), sugar (2 g) and high in protein (37 g).

Bed Pan Planter

I wasn't on my blog a lot this past week since my daughter was here from California. Now that she has left, we headed out to the yard. There is so much yard work to do. We only have an acre, but there is lots of vegetation, trees, bushes, flowers and nothing stops growing here. We spent some time pruning, cutting and raking.

I had a chance to work in my gardens that really needed it. I bought this bed pan awhile back - previously posted here.

Easter Mini Cheesecakes

Welcome Friends!

Cheesecake is just one of those desserts  that you can make in so many ways: Chocolate, New York style, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Macadamia nut. Are you getting my drift here? Endless possibilities!

Once a month I bake for my husband's office. It gives me a chance to make desserts which is my favorite thing to do, but hate having too much dessert around.

These Easter Mini Cheesecakes came from Kraft. I thought they would be great to send in and a little Easter thrown in as well. They are super easy to make.
