When I saw this amazing crocheted patriotic stars towel - which can be adapted to make a pillow cover, by the way - I knew we just had to feature this on our Independence Day party. Made by EyeLoveKnots! A wreath made of FLIP FLOPS??? Of course. Why not? It is cute, colorful and so so summer! Don't you love it? If I had a cottage, or a beach house, it would be right on the front door. Learn how to make your own DIY Flip Flop Wreath from Life as a Leo Wife. Now this is a great July 4th table! Deb Bees Buzz has an array of tables décor ideas to show you for this holiday weekend. Enjoy! 4th of July Holiday Table on the Porch.
Alexandra from Eye Love Knots is also the author of the blog On Rockwood Lane and she shared with us how to make a pretty succulent garden like the one pictured above. We get a lot of rain where I live so there isn't much hope I will ever have a garden like this one, but I sure love looking at hers!
Tracey at The Kitchen Is My Playground made this delicious patriotic cake in a PUNCHBOWL! Don't you love seeing the red white and blue stripes? See how she made it here > Triple Berry Cake in a PunchbowlLinda @ A Labour of Life

Welcome to Happiness Is Homemade Party
Welcome back to Happiness is Homemade! I hope you are having a wonderful Memorial Weekend. We had some well needed rain yesterday. The veggies and flowers loved it. We are having some family for dinner on Sunday and others on Monday.
Enjoy your weekend and let us remember all of our men and women who gave their lives to depend our country.
Favorite Features
First I'd like to share this week's features! Thank you to all of you bloggers who share all the wonderful posts we get to read each week!
Janet from A Life of Balance shared a tutorial for this simple patriotic wreath. It seems very easy and quick to put together. She used her Cricut to cut the stars from balsa wood. I haven't tried that yet, but I can't wait to! This wreath is perfect way to greet your guests as you kick off the summer with your patriotic barbeque!
Next Joy from Artful Homemaking brings us a post on deep cleaning your home. She has some great tips and ideas. In her post, Joy shares free printable checklists for when you get down and dirty in your house!
Claire from Pillar Box Blue shared this post on all of the things you can make with old blue jeans. These ideas look like so much fun. In the article, she tells us exactly how to deconstruct jeans depending on what projects you'd like to make. Some of these are perfect projects to keep your teens busy this summer. They may even be able to sell a few!
This wood tray was shared with us from Tiffany at Tee Diddly Dee. Can you believe this beautiful tray is a DIY?! I thought it was going to be an upcycle (love those too!) or a vignette tutorial, but she hand made this. In the post she shares how to make it, step by step. Since you make it yourself, you can customize it for your home. You could change the size, color, or handles, yet use the same tutorial. I think it's beautiful and would fit perfectly into my house in a medium colored wood stain.
Finally we have Penny's she shed from Penny's Vintage Home. I am in love with the look of this trailer turned she-shed! It has turned out absolutely beautiful. Mr. H cut an old headboard in half, which is what you see on either side of the jut-out. Who would've thought it would look so cute. She repainted the jut-out in light grey with the pink door, and that makes the shed. I love those two colors together. The sunflower theme that runs across the shed is just perfect. If there's A/C, I could just move in!
Now it's time for the link party!
Thank you for joining us this week. We are happy you're here to share your latest posts and to check out the amazing ideas shared by other lovely bloggers! Be sure to visit all of our hostesses blogs, we love when you stop by!
