Thursday Favorite Things Party

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that Easter is this weekend? It doesn't seem real. I remember listening to a sunrise service on the radio last year because of covid and here we are again this year probably doing the same thing.
Are you having a special Easter dinner or get together? We are having some family members. There will be about 9 of us.
We had a birthday dinner for my FIL on Tuesday. He was 92. All three of his sons and their families were there and a few of the grand kids and 2 great-grandkids came. He was so happy and teared up. It was a nice evening. That is the most people I have been around since last year - before covid.

Welcome to You're The Star - Extra Feature Week
Happy Monday and welcome to the party. I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine was very nice. Lots of family in town for my Father-in-laws birthday taking place on Tuesday. He will be 92 and all of his sons are here and their families.
The boys are taking him golfing on Monday. Most of the time he keeps up with him. He is even known to beat them. I am glad he is still able to play golf with them.
I will be doing lots of cooking on Monday and Tuesday. I have already cooked so much while they have been here. By Wednesday, I will be whipped.

Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going great! Our weather has been beautiful this week after a rainy weekend.
You can tell it is spring with all the flowers blooming, the garden is growing and I picked my first strawberries. They were so yummy and sweet. The plants are loaded. There is nothing like picking your own strawberries.

Happy Sunday. I hope you are having a lovely weekend. We have been a little cooler here and lots of wind. We can't have sun everyday.
Since most of the projects I have been working on need to be done outdoors, I had to think of things to do inside. Not too much came to mind so I cleaned out the refrigerator. Washed some towels and read my book. I think I will do some crocheting a little later. Funny how I don't seem to know what to do indoors, since I am outside most of the time.

Happy Thursday! I hope you had a great St. Patrick's Day. We had a wonderful dinner with my inlaws and BIL. We had Marilyn's Crock Pot Corned Beef and Cabbage recipe (which was awesome) and then played cards and after that had dessert.
The weather was so beautiful that we ate outside, played cards out side and even had our dessert outside.

Over The Moon party
Welcome to Over The Moon Party
Happy Sunday. I hope you had a lovely weekend. We are having above average temps which I am not complaining about. I enjoy this weather since the evenings are cool and the days are warm. How can you complain?
We spent the weekend putting gutters on my daughters house in the front. She has them on the back, but not in the front. it is funny that most houses here don't have gutters on them. Not sure why that is. Fortunately, hubby is quite the handyman so we got part of it done. Hubby's brother arrived today, so he can help with the rest of it. Whew!!
I guess I was hungry when I picked the features this week since they all have to do with food. What can I say? I hope you enjoy them. I hope you have a great week ahead.

Happy Thursday! I am so excited that you stopped by. My week has been great so far. The weather has been lovely and I have been putzing with my garden and a few projects. All this warm weather has allowed my seeds to sprout.
I put them in small pots and didn't know what to use to label them. I found these sticks that you use for making lollipops - not too big so they fit in the pots. Great! So I labeled them all with an ink pen. Sounded good to me. It seemed good for awhile. After a couple of rains, I no longer know what I have planted. The rain washed off all of my ink. I should have a great time figuring out exactly what I have. lol! Silly me.

Over The Moon Party
Welcome to Over The Moon Linky Party
Happy Sunday. I hope you had a lovely weekend. Mine was nice. We had some rain on Saturday morning and it cooled things down a bit but the sun did try and peek out here and there.
The rain has certainly helped my seeds to grow. I can't believe that so many of them are up already. I have a large compost pile and used some of the compost for a planter of petunias and dusty miller. Up from the center of the pot comes this green plant that is not part of what I planted. I am not 100% sure but I think it is a watermelon plant. Off to one side is another one. I tried to carefully dig it up but it was so far down in the pot that it broke off. I put it in water and it is growing.
I guess not all of the seeds have decomposed and now I have them in my flower pot. I have not taken the middle one out yet. I might let it get stronger first. I hope I am doing the right thing by leaving it in there. So far that is the only pot that seems to have seeds growing.
I know that if I planted the seeds some would come up, but they always seem to do better in the strangest places.

Happy Thursday and welcome to March. I am so excited that you dropped by. We have had a lovely week. some bad thunder storms yesterday but then the sun came out and it was sunny. The plants are loving the sun and the rain. Lots of strawberries coming and blackberries. I hope I get them before the birds.
Almost all of the seeds I planted last week are coming up. It seems like they popped up over night. If this weather stays warm, they should be well on their way on a couple of weeks.
I hope your weather has warmed up some too. I know my Mom in Pennsylvania has not had snow for a couple of weeks. She gets so excited when the sun is out, even if it is cold.

Over The Moon Linky Party
Welcome to Over The Moon Linky Party
Happy Sunday. Here we are in the last day of February. Another month is coming to a close. With the warm weather we have been having, my azaleas are blooming and they are so pretty. It is early for them. They don't usually bloom until march. I guess they are just confused.
I know that many of you are still dealing with cold temps and snow, but it will coming coming soon. We had a very warm weekend, actually too hot for this time of year.
We spent yesterday cleaning the motorhome. I took all of the sheets, towels and blankets out and washed them all. We are hoping to do some traveling soon and wanted to be ready. Who knows when that will be. I don't want to be around too many people.
