Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!

The last couple of days have been crazy and I forgot it was Thursday until 6 o'clock this morning. My grandson came home from school early on Tuesday and then again on Wednesday. It wasn't until yesterday that He told me he had taken a slapshot to the head in hockey practice. He is a goalie. He didn't think too much about it until the headaches started and dizziness. So off to the doctors and sure enough he has a concussion. No screen time for him. Do you know how hard that is for a 13 year old? But I must admit, he did fine. They want him to try a half day again today and then they are off Friday, so that should help. No hockey games this weekend. With kids, it is always something.

Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop

Here it is October, and I keep wondering how did we get here? This year has gone so fast and especially the summer.  It certainly feels like fall here in Vermont.  The weather is cool, the trees are turning and pumpkins are everywhere.

You're The Star - Garden Feature Week

Garden Feature Week at You're The Star!

Well, this week I can't complain about the hot weather. In fact, it is down right cool. I came to Vermont to take care of my grand babies while my son and daughter-in-law went to Banff, Alberta Canada. Last night it was 39 degrees. That is cold to me. It has been a nice change for me however. I am sure I will want warm weather again. lol :)

Over The Moon Linky Party

Welcome to Over The Moon Link Party

The heat continues but I escaped to Vermont. Now I am cold. High today is 60 and last night was 39. That is a big difference but it feels good for while I am here. I am baby sitting for my grand children while their parents are in Banff, Alberta Canada. They needed a vacation and my daughter-in-law has a conference there so it all worked out. I get to spoil them for 8 whole days. Isn't that what grandma's are for?

Easy Halloween Treat Bags

Cute Halloween Treat Bags!

I am always looking for cute ideas for Halloween treat bags. We have an annual Halloween party on our street and we dress up and have all kinds of food and then we all gather on our golf carts to go trick n' treating.

I wanted to make some cute treat bags but not spend lots of money.  I had some burlap left over from another project so I decided to make these cuties.
