We had another beautiful day here in central Florida. No rain for two days. After all the rain we had, you would think that the garden would be fine. But no, with all of the heat, the garden dries out quickly. I have had to water each day. Today I was busy working on moving some more things to my she shed. One of these days, I am going to find the time to show you pictures.

Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. We had a nice family gathering to celebrate hubby's birthday and our daughter's hubby's birthday and we threw in father's Day as well. The boys played horseshoe, then some swimming, some appetizers, more swimming and then dinner. After, we had a vanilla cake and a chocolate cake for dessert. A good day was had by all. Happy Thursday my friends! Hope you are all doing well. We had a break in the rain the last two days. Just a few sprinkles the last two days. I see that it has been quite hot up north. My Mom lives in Western PA and it was almost 91 degrees which was about what we had here in Florida. They did say that the temperatures were going to be above average this summer. I hope that doesn't mean here in the south. How has your weather been? What are you up to? Many of my features come from you my commenters. It is almost hump day. That's good right? If you are working, then that's a good thing, but if you are retired, it is just another day. That would be me! We are finally having some much needed sunshine after all of the rain from Cristobal. The chance of rain is still high for the rest of the week, but maybe the forecast is wrong. One can hope. Hey there, Sweet Friends, Happy Sunday. We are having lots of rain from Cristobal. We have not had much rain recently so it was great for the grass, flowers and garden. It gave me a chance to do some sewing which I have put off since I was outside so much. Are you affected by this storm? Let me know how your weekend is going. Leave me a comment below.
Happy Thursday! Hope this first week in June is off to a great start. We actually went out to a restaurant for hubby's birthday. We were a little leery but we ate outside and there were only a few people there so we had plenty of space around us. Have you ventured to a restaurant? Are more places opening up in your area? I wish I could say that my yard work is all done, but I can't. I think the list grows over night. We got 2 truck loads of dirt, one for the flower beds and one for the vegetable plants. I was finally able to get my strawberries in the ground. I planted some more flowers in the new beds and we put down around 80 bags of mulch. I still have to finish about 10 bags. I hope to get that done tonight. I told hubby,"we are getting too old for this". I guess it keeps us young, or just too tired. lol!

Hello my bloggy friends. It is the last day in May. I remember talking to my Mom in April and she said I don't think I can go another month being isolated. Well, we did it. May is almost done and June is right around the corner. More and more places are open and it is easier to find groceries and TP, and other supplies. I find that people are wearing masks more than when it was at the height of the virus. Not sure why, but maybe because more masks are available. I still don't venture out much but my daughter and I did go and get some flowers and soil. We had a nice few hours together. How are things in your area? Are you getting out more? Can you find what you need?
Happy Thursday! Well, this will be the last TFT party in May. Can you believe that? June is coming and here in Florida, kids will be finishing their home studies this week. I saw that some places are registering for some summer camps. I feel for all of you that have kids and look forward to summer camps for the kids and wonder what will happen this summer. It has to be difficult.

Happy Memorial Day. I don't know about you, but we are having a quiet day at home. Doing some yard work, a few projects and relaxing. My daughter is coming over for a cook out later. I know some people are heading to the beach. I saw pictures of hundreds of people at Atlantic City at the beach. I just could not be in a crowd like that. How are you celebrating memorial Day - At home or are you venturing out?

Happy Memorial Weekend. This holiday may be a little different than ones in the past, but that's OK. I see more people walking these days or riding bikes. Just spending time with their family. Maybe slowing down a little is a good thing. The thing that I miss the most is hugging. I can't wait for the day to hug my daughter, family members and friends. That will be a great day. In the mean time, I can still see them even if they have masks on. Those masks do free you up to skip makeup though.

Here it is almost mid week. I don't know where I have been, but hubby just told me that Memorial Day is the week end. I'm not sure how I missed this but thought it wasn't for another couple of weeks. Not that anything exciting was on my agenda. It will just be another weekend probably working outside. I still have lots of projects that I would like to get done.
