Thursday Favorite Things

I hope this finds you well. I can't believe that it is Thursday already. Seems like it was just Monday. If your kiddos are back in school, how are you adjusting? If they aren't in school yet, are you getting ready? August was always a different kind of month. It was still summer and we had to think of school, but didn't want to. My kids use to say, why do I have to think about school clothes when it is so hot? They would drag out going shopping as long as possible. it would have been nice to have been able to shop online back then.

Thursday Favorite Things

Happy Thursday! It is the middle of August, the kids are back in school and our weather is still hot. It is a special upcoming weekend, since it is my birthday on Friday. Sometimes I wonder how the years have gone by so fast.
My grand daughter would say on my birthday, as long as I wasn't 70 because that is really old. Well, that came and went. Now she says, it's OK grammy, you aren't old. Of course she says that every year. Don't you just love them?

Happy Thursday! How is your week going? Mine has finally slowed a little. We had concrete pored for a new walkway, a back patio and a circular driveway. It had been off and on for about 10 days. Happy Sunday! Today is a special day since it is our anniversary. We actually went out to dinner last night to celebrate. Tonight we are grilling steaks. We are not much into gifts or anything like that. Most would think we are boring, since today we have been working outside in the yard. Oh well, that's who we are!

I can't believe that it is Thursday Again. Boy, these weeks are flying by. Hurricane Barry came today and brought with it lots of rain. The temps dropped although it was still sticky but at least it was cooler - 89 instead of the high 90's. I'll take it. Has your weather cooled off or is it still hot?

It has been another busy week for me - they are preparing our yard for a new patio, sidewalk and circular driveway. It seems like they are everywhere - front and back of the house. Over The Moon Linky Party

My weekend has been a mixture of relaxing and working. We went to Georgia to visit my husband's brother and family. It was so nice to relax for a change - no house work. We were gone only one night, had to come back early to finish getting the sprinkler system ready for Monday. We are having a new concrete patio put in and had to move many of the pipes away from the back and reconnect. Biggest problem is that temps are around 95 degrees. You really don't want to be out there.
