Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!

Thursday Favorite Things. Share NOW. #linkyparty. #TFT #eclecticredbarn

Well, it is Thursday and time for our party. April has begun and it looks like we have another 30 days of being at home. I really done mind being at home normally, I very rarely go out except for groceries, drug store, normal places.  However, I told my hubby I would really like to go shopping. He said, "why, you never go shopping". I know but because I can't, I want to. However, nothing is open so that ended that. lol!

I did venture to the grocery store yesterday and I was surprised at how well it was stocked. Not a lot of meat  but more than a week ago. Lots of milk and eggs. No toilet paper however. I did stop at the Dollar General and they had toilet paper. I only bought 2 packages to save some for others. With another 30 days to go, I hope the supplies will increase.

Are you having problems finding items?  Someone said this virus doesn't like citrus and my sister said there was not one container of orange juice to be had. Did you hear that? I was able to get some cuties.

I hope you are all doing well and staying safe. My prayers are with you.

Many of my features come from you my commenters. Don't forget to leave your Linkup Number or Post Title so I can find you and you could become one of my featured commenters next week.

I agree, we are all trying but I do feel sorry for those that have lost their jobs. I can't imagine what they must be going through. Take care and stay healthy.

  2. Bev,
Thanks so much, my friend, for choosing my post as one of your features!! Gave you a Shout Out on face book and will also do so in my next post...
Glad to hear that you are safe...A lot of the stores around us are still open like Target, Lowe's Best Buy, Ocean State Job Lot, Dollar General and Big Lot's to name a few...I am not going out because with Joe continuing to work part time at Wegman's, he is out there already so if we need something from another store, he does the running!!
Thanks so much for hosting during these trying times!! Stay safe, healthy and happy!!
    Hugs,

You are so welcome for the feature. I am glad you are safe and healthy too. I hoe Joe continues to be safe. We have a few of the same stores open. Lowe's is always packed. I hate to go there. We went to Home Depot since they only allow so many in at a time.
      Continue to be safe.
      Hugs,

I hope you are doing well. It seems like many are getting bored and making crafts or baking. I have been baking. I love your wash cloth bunnies. It looks so cute on your rustic charger.
      Be safe.

  10. Just the sight of those peep turtle treats made me smile, Bev. Thank you for hosting another gathering of kindred spirits who see the value of creativity and investing in all things home. Like you, I'm not comfortable with the restrictions even though I work from home everyday! It's interesting. But I think my unrest is more about the broader issue of our human frailty and powerlessness in today's world where so much is falling apart. It feel like everything is breaking because in a sense, it is. But we can be broken into beauty and grow from all of the lessons we learn in the coming days. I pray we can help each other by tolerating the distancing and somehow connecting in fresh, meaningful ways. I'm sharing at #125, 126 and 128 with encouragement and a yummy berry breakfast bowl that keeps my spirits high in the morning since I look forward to it almost everyday. Wishing you calm days and restful nights as we journey this unknown together. xox

  11. Hi Bev,
I am number 171 today. Thank you so much for the feature! I heard that Peeps are not being produced anymore this season since no one can get together for celebrations--- I'm glad that I already stocked up on them! I did see plenty in the store the last time I looked.... and I guess they would have had to make them ahead of time anyway....
    Stay safe.

I did not really look at the candy section. I am not a peep fan, but do use them for decorations at Easter but not this year. It is going to be a strange Easter.
Hope you and your family are all well.
      Hugs,

  12. Hey Bev! We had been enjoying the spring weather - it made it much easier to get my daughter ready to play in our backyard. Then today we got over a half a foot of snow!! Back to the snowpants and the 23 layers. lol Today I'm sharing #84 and #85. Take care!

Unfortunately, that is the weather this time of year up north. I hope you have more spring days than winter days to come. I'm sure Miss O loves having you at home all day.

  13. Thank you so much for the feature on our Kneader Copy Cat East Cupcakes. We really do love these cupcakes. Thank you too for hosting the party. Isn't it funny how when we are restricted from something that it becomes more of a temptation. The other day I was thinking how hard it must be to be incarcerated! It is a bit crazy some of the things that come to our minds when we have too much time to think. Our links this week are: #175, #176, & #177.

    1. Amy,
You are so welcome for the feature. I can't wait to make those cupcakes. I agree, when we are restricted, we want it more. That's an interesting thought about being incarcerated. I guess the difference is that this will end and for some incarcerated, it might not.
Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes. I want to cook all the time now and I have to watch what I eat. I might gain too much at this rate.

We are doing fine but the toilet paper keeps hiding from me. I have not seen it in the grocery stores in a month. it might be there, but not when I go. I love your velvet eggs. I have never seen that. So pretty.
      Stay safe my friend.

You are so welcome for the feature. Yes, toilet paper is still hard to come by. I thought I could take a shower every time I had to be and I could save paper, but then my skin might totally shrivel up. lol!
      Stay safe.
