Happiness Is Homemade

Happiness Is Homemade Link Party

Welcome to the party. Can you believe that this is the last party in July? Where has this month gone? The weather has cooled down to 89 which is a nice change from the high 90s. We are almost done painting the house. I am hoping to get some flowers planted tomorrow before it rains. What are your plans for Sunday?

Check out comments from Katie, this months hostess:
Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #281 is here and I CANNOT believe how fast July is going!  I have really enjoyed going through all of our bloggers' fabulous posts to pick my features, SO much awesome content!

We've finally gotten a break in the weather here in Western New York, so now we can go outside without melting into puddles.  We don't have air conditioning in our farm house but we ALWAYS have a beautiful breeze that makes things a bit more comfortable.

I'm not lying, I'm not exaggerating - I REALLY REALLY REALLY had the HARDEST time picking the features.  My laptop screen is covered in images and url addresses of all the posts I was considering for a feature.  Thank you to all the bloggers who keep publishing some awesome material - keep it coming!

This week's features for Happiness Is Homemade #281

As you may (or may not!) recall from our last Happiness Is Homemade Link Party #280 I am looking for ideas to decorate the giant wall behind our TV.  I spotted this gorgeous looking DIY craft  for Plaster Dipped Flower Art from So Much Better With Age and I thought it would look incredible, not to mention frugal.

The wild blackberries on our property are starting to ripen - I'm going to make this delicious looking Blackberry Clafoutis from Cooking with Carlee, my family will think I'm so classy and sophisticated! ;)

I'm always a sucker for a beautiful wreath to display inside or outside our home!  How about this DIY Boxwood Wreath Tutorial from Cherished Bliss - I'll never feature a post that I don't think I could do myself, and this one looks foolproof and so country chic!

We received some new rocking chairs for our front porch where I like to sit in the evening drinking Mommy juice :)  I thought about looking at a local store for some cute cushions BUT I can use this tutorial from Curly Crafty Mom on how to make my own DIY Outdoor Seat Cushions instead, much more customizable for sure!

And finally because everything is better wrapped in bacon, my family will love these Easy Bacon Wrapped Green Beans from She Saved to snack on.  I like that they are easy to make and give me the crunch I am always looking for!

Since I had such a difficult time picking out my features, I also want to share three honorable mentions that I think you should check out too:

DIY One Rope Tree Swing from TeeDiddlyDee

Homemade Fresh Rosemary Spray Cleaner from Fresh Vintage by Lisa S.

My Pick

Please check out my 5 featured posts and honorable mentions and leave a comment - bloggers love it when you leave feedback!  Be sure to also Pin, Share or bookmark any posts you are interested in so you can reference them later.

It's been so much fun hosting this month, I hope you enjoyed all of my features and dry sense of humor :)

  2. Bev, thank you so much for hosting every week AND for featuring my Peach Cobbler Muffins! Today I linked Peach Pie with Lattice Crust. The only reason I can tolerate summer is that it's also Peach Season!

You are so welcome for the feature on Happiness Is Homemade. I am anxious to try your peach muffins. Peach season is awesome. I am hoping to get some more peaches in August. I will be in Heaven if I can.
