Happy Holiday Season! We are only one week away from Christmas Eve Day. It's coming fast. I finished my wrapping and the cookies are all done. I got some of them delivered and will do some more tomorrow.
Now all I have to do is make a list of what I need for meals and buy the ingredients. My BIL and SIL will be here on Tuesday for a couple of days and then there's Christmas Eve dinner, plus Christmas Day. Those meals will be smaller, just in-laws and my daughter. Sounds like a lot of cooking coming up.

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that two weeks from today is Christmas Eve Day. Yikes, why does it always seem to sneak up on me? I thought I was doing good, decorating done and the tree is almost finished. On to cookie making time - my favorite part.
I don't have many gifts to wrap since we don't buy much for each other - a couple of simple gifts. Do you buy for your hubby? How do your handle Christmas gifts? I am getting my gifts ready to send to mail. Should go out on Friday. At least that will be done.

Happy Thursday! I am so excited today since I am heading down to Davie (where I use to live) to visit some friends and spend the night at my friend's house. We try to get together every month or so. We always have such a great time together. We get take out and drink some wine and laugh and do facials. All that girl stuff.

Happy Thursday! Last night we prepared for Eta. We are to have some rain and wind. I hope that all goes well. I feel so sorry for all of our friends down in the Miami and Ft. Lauderdale that have been dealing with so much rain. This has certainly been a difficult year for hurricanes and it may not be over yet. How is your weather?

November is off to a great start with hurricane season winding down, although Eta might cause some havoc, hoping not. The weather is cooling down and so lovely this time of year.

I am working on sorting out more boxes in the garage and therefore, cleaning out the garage. It feels so good to get rid of somethings. I took a much of stuff to Habit for Humanity. I wanted to have a garage sale, but hubby is against it right now. I will keep some of the better stuff for one after the new year, hopefully. Maybe things will be better by then. I had a couple of days not feeling well. No covid symptoms but felt crappy. The weather was nice so I sat outside and went sorted through some boxes. I had not unpacked them and decided to go through them again. I got rid of lots of things and found things I was looking for. I even made rid on the shelves. I was so excited.

Happy Thursday my friends. I hope your week has been going well. I had a lovely visit with my friend down in Davie. As usual, we cooked, we laughed, we had a couple of drinks.
We did have a scare when her senior dog was limping on Tuesday morning. He had a very hard time getting up. He also has this mass under his chest. She was afraid to take him for fear it was cancer. I convinced her to take him and I would go with her. You should have seen the two of us trying to get an 80 pound dog into the car.

Happy Thursday dear friends and welcome to October! Can you believe it? We woke up to 64 degrees on Wednesday. Wow, it was lovely. The day was beautiful - warm and breezy. Today is a little warmer but still vey pleasant and a nice way to start October. I am so getting into fall finally. I even bought some pumpkins last night. Now to do some more decorating. Happy Thursday dear friends. I hope you are enjoying some fall weather since fall just arrived this week. We actually have been having beautiful weather here in central Florida. It was 85 today with hardly any humidity and a nice breeze. I was in heaven. I was sitting outside with the dogs just enjoying the wonderful weather. I worked in the raised beds to get them ready for planting and it was just a pleasure not to be sweating. Maybe fall is on its way.

Happy Thursday dear friends. I am so excited because I am flying to Pittsburgh, PA to see my Mom. I have not seen her since last fall. She does not know that I am coming, I wanted to surprise her. She was 95 in April and gets along quite well. Her health is good. The only problem she has is she is really hard of hearing. I call her every day to talk to her. She will probably start crying when I get there. I am going to call her from downstairs in her apartment building. My younger sister lives there too so I will also get to see her. We will have a fun few days.
I am a little nervous flying and then seeing her. I am taking all kinds of precautions to stay safe. I don't want her to get anything from me. Wish me luck.

Happy Thursday my friends. I hope you had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend and that your week is going well. My daughter and I went shopping for house paint. She wants to paint her house and of course we said we would help. She wanted white with black trim. Do you have any idea how many shades of white there are? Grey undertones, green undertones, yellow undertones and the list goes on. She finally picked something that seems to be white with a little cream. We won't start to paint until the weather cools down some - October probably but the paint was on sale and we wanted to get it.
It is a ranch house so should not be too hard to paint. We painted ours after we moved in and it is much bigger so I think we can handle it. Most people will be getting ready for fall and we will be painting!!!

Happy Thursday dear friends. I hope your week has been awesome. I went down to Davie, Florida to spend the night with my friend on Tuesday. We had such a great time. We laughed and ate and laughed some more. We try to get together every 5-6 weeks. Girls night is so special.
On Wednesday morning,we went shopping at JoAnn's, she needed some fabric and then to Home Goods. I love that store and have not been able to go since January. I was surprised to see so many nearly empty shelves compared to usual. Good friends are special.

I love this time of year as I drool over all of the fall projects and decor. I am still having problems getting in the mood for fall with the weather being so hot. I get excited about it in the evening and then the next day it is so hot that I can't quite get in the mood. I guess I will just have to pretend it is cooler. Is any body else having this problem, or is it just me? I hope someone else is feeling like me. Oh please!

Happy Thursday! How is everyone doing today? I hope you are well and healthy. All is good on our front. Staying in and working on this and that, or not much of this and a little of that. lol!
I had seen lots of fall things at JoAnn's and ended up buying a fall throw and a fall pillow. I even placed it on my couch with the other sort of beige/brown pillows. I guess that is my fall decorating for now. I am OK with fall and Halloween but then I saw some Christmas stuff - not ready for that. I think it makes the time go too fast, but that is just me. How do you feel about that?

Temps in Florida are usually hot but in talking with family up north, the high temps are not welcome. What a hot summer the north has had this year. Even my son in Vermont is dealing with temps in the low 90s. That is very unusual for them. I guess the worst part has been the lack of rain. So what are your temps like? Do you like hot weather?

Happy Thursday! Hope you are all enjoying your days. I want to apologize to everyone that has made comments on my posts. This past couple of weeks with our Louie being sick has consumed most of my time. Yesterday, he seemed to be doing so much better and then he had he acupuncture treatment. They said he would be sore Tuesday night and some yesterday.
Well, he was very bad yesterday, to the point of not being able to walk without falling. The vet increased his meds and if he is not better this morning, he has to go back to the vets. I hope there has not been a set back. Poor little guy, you can tell he is in pain. He just wants you to hold him and then he gives you these sad eyes. it breaks your heart.
