Ladder Planter

Ladder Planter

A couple of months ago I posted about a ladder that broke when hubby was climbing down from the roof.
I fixed up the top part of the ladder for my house type plants. You can see how I did that here

Since it was a tall ladder, one of the sides was not broken so I saved it. I knew I would do something with it. I decided to make it into a planter for out front.

I didn't have to buy anything except for the plants. I found 4 small pots and one large one for the middle.

It started out like this. This was one side of the ladder that went to the bottom. The other side was broken and I could not use it.

First thing I did was clean it up and then put two coats of varnish on it. I am sure I will have to add more varnish as the summer weather is hard on things down here.

I am not sure where I got these pots. Maybe a garage sale but they were in my stash. I liked the lettering on them and I had four of them.

The big pot in the center was also in my stash. Not sure where it came from either. I had to put holes in all of the containers for drainage.

I planted wave petunias and they are doing nicely, starting to wave down the front.
