Caramel Pecan Brownies

We all love brownies, right? Oh, what variations you can do with brownies: frosted, powdered sugar, nuts, cream cheese. What a versatile dessert?

Well, I have another variation to share with you - Caramel Pecan Brownies. These brownies go together quickly since you start with a box of brownie mix.

Use a brownie mix and Kraft Bits to make these gooey bars.

Key Lime Bars

Although I love lemon desserts, I had key limes available so when you want a dessert, use what you have.  When I first saw these Lemon Cheesecake Bars from Aimee I knew I wanted to try them.

Jamaretti Cookies

The holidays are over and we have finished baking all of those Christmas cookies - right. Well, maybe. What if you wanted a holiday cookie? I am not sure what constitutes a "holiday" cookie. I often make chocolate chip cookies at Christmas but don't think of them as a Christmas cookie. Or is it that we make lots of cookies at the holidays and call them all "holiday cookies".

I found this recipe in a little pamphlet called Everyday Food from Martha Stewart. It is a little old (result of organizing) and wondered why I have never made them before. I needed something for my husband to take to work and these were it.

Christmas Chocolate Chips and Memories

I was making these Christmas Chocolate Chip cookies the other day and thinking about all the treats we use to make at Christmas when I was little. My mother liked to bake, I guess that is were I get it. Desserts consisted of cakes, pies, donuts, cookies and sometimes we even had eclairs.

We didn't have a lot of money to buy store bought goodies, but we always had some kind of dessert. That is probably why I still love desserts. Wish I didn't.

Mango Cheesecake

Do you love mangoes? I do and they are in season. We could make smoothies, dice with other fruit, or make a delicious dessert. I vote for the dessert!

I wanted to make a mango cheesecake and after reading a ton of recipes, I decided to use one recipe and then modify it based on other recipes. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but fortunately it did.

Glazed Lemon Coconut Bars

I wanted to make a dessert the other night and everything I wanted to make I didn't have this ingredient or that ingredient. So I reached for something with lemons since I had many of them. I found these Lemon Coconut Bars from Betty Crocker so that was going to be the dessert.

Mango Pound Cake

I am still on the mango kick. With all the mangoes we picked, no wonder. If you are new here, remember all the mangoes we harvested this year. I made so many dishes, but have not been able to get them all posted. Plus you would probably be bored with mango, mango recipes day after day. I thought I would share my mango pound cake.

Although I used fresh mangoes in my pound cake, you could use frozen mangoes. The mangoes made the cake very moist. I put a buttermilk frosting on it, but you could also just sprinkle it with powdered sugar.

Andes Cream de Menthe Chunk Cookies

Andes Cream de Menthe candies are great after dinner mints, but they are also wonderful in baked goods. I had a bag of Andes Cream de Menthe Chunks and on the back of the bag was a recipe for cookies. So these cookies were the result of that little bag of goodies.
They were easy to put together.

Almond Pudding Loaf

Well, it is still raining here in southern Florida, although we have had periods of clearing, so I decided to bake. It seemed like everything I wanted to make, I was missing an ingredient. I had everything for this Almond Pudding Loaf, so that is what I made.
