Birthday Dessert Coupons

Birthday Dessert Coupons

My father-in-law had his 93 birthday at the end of March. Of course, at the age, what do you buy them. He always loves to come to my house for food and dessert so I decided to give him a dessert of the month as a gift. He was delighted with his gift.

April was Blueberry Cobbler and May was No Bake Oreo Pie.

At was a last minute idea,  so I took so card stock and cut them into a 2 x 4 1/4 rectangle.  I had some letters so I glued them on and then wrote Good for one dessert. I put them on a key ring.

Each time I give him a dessert he has to give me the card for that month. Here is May's I forgot to take a pic of the original booklet.

Although I have a lot of dessert recipes, many of them make something too big to give him. There is only the two of them so I try to make something that is smaller.  I thought pie would be nice and when I checked my cupboard, I had a package of Oreos. I looked on Pinterest and found this No Bake Oreo Pie and I had everything I needed.

I really like this since it was no bake and the weather has been quite hot. Plus, it has only 5 ingredients.

He was so delighted with his dessert. He said,  "I am going to hide it just for me to have".  He is funny.

No Bake Oreo Pie

Ingredients:

Oreo Crust:
  • 25 Oreo cookies wafers & filling
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter melted
Oreo Filling:
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • ¾ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups whipped topping thawed
  • 10 Oreo cookies chopped

Directions:

Oreo Crust

  • Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor. Or place them in a ziploc bag and bash with a rolling pin.
  • Mix the crushed cookies with melted butter.
  • Press into the bottom and up the sides of a 9 inch pie plate. I like to use the bottom of a glass cup for this.
  •  Place in the fridge as you make the filling.
Oreo Filling
  • In a large bowl beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until soft.
  • Fold in the whipped topping, followed by the chopped Oreo cookies.
  • Spoon the filling into the pie crust then smooth the top.
  • Place in the fridge to chill for at least an hour before serving.
  • I added some piped cool whip around the edges and in the center. (optional) and sprinkled some crushed Oreos over the cool whip.
