Valentine Heart Favors

Valentine Heart Favors

These cute little heart favors are easy to put together. Mom usually gives a little something to a few of your best friends. They give each other small and inexpensive gifts.

I had some light and dark pink felt and thought some hearts would be the perfect gift. I was going to make them a stuffed Valentine heart and then decided to make them so we could put some candy in them.

I cut out a heart on some paper and used that for my pattern.  I had some Valentine supplies to decorate the hearts with. I got them from the Dollar Tree last year.  The stickers have backing on them so they stuck to the felt. I also used some pink pipe cleaners.

I used a blanket stitch around the heart, leaving the top open.  On one of them, I used a running stitch, but liked the blanket stitch better.
Either one works or you could even glue them closed.

Once I had stitched them closed, I hot glued the pipe cleaners to each side of the heart.  If you don't have any pipe cleaners, you could always use some ribbon.

Now it was time to add the candy. We found lollipop and smarties at the Dollar Tree. She had some Dove heart chocolates. We also had a bag of mixed Hersey mini chocolates.

We took them around to her neighbors and if they were not home, we hung them on the door knob.

These would be great as favors on a table or for kids to give other students. A little something to give.

    1. Lisa,
That's the idea I had to pass them out to my Mom's neighbors. Easy to make and inexpensive. They could have had a lot more decoration, but it was what I had.Good luck with yours.
      Hugs,

Thank you so much. They were a last minute idea. I also made some for my zumba friends and put chocolate covered Oreos in them.
      Have a lovely Sunday.
