Dollar Tree Ghost Garland

Dollar Tree Ghost Garland

You can find so many great Halloween items at Dollar Tree as many of you know. I have been finding great items that I can use for decor. This is my second project that I have made from inexpensive items from the Dollar Tree. My first one was about Bats, Branches and Bows that I shared. You can see that project here

When I bought the bats, I also bought some wooden ghosts. I decided to make a garland using them.

This garland looks great with my Bat Tree.

How to make this garland:

- one package of wooden ghosts (8 per package)
- black felt
- glue
- black/white twine
- white paint

I placed the wooden ghosts on some foil on a cookie sheet and then painted them with white paint. You could do this with a brush or spray paint them. Use whatever you have.

I painted both sides of the wooden ghosts. Once they were dried, I added some black felt so the eyes would stay out. I cut a piece that would cover the eyes and the mouth. You can use black paper or foam core that they have at the Dollar Tree.

The black really makes the eyes and mouth pop.

Once all of the felt was on, I used some black/white twine that I got at the Dollar Tree. If you can't find black/white twine, you can use regular twine or plain black.

I just threaded the twine through the hole in the top of the ghost and then hung them on my window that is in my dining room.

    1. Meagan,
Thank you for your kind words. Yes, once I had them painted, it just didn't look right so I needed the black on the back.
      Have a great day.
