Brownie Ornament Cookies

Brownie Ornament Cookies

As Christmas approaches, it always seems to be such a hectic time. If you are still trying to make some cookies, then these are for you. They are so easy and you use a box mix of brownies to make them.

You can even have the kids help decorate them. A great project to do over the break.

I have to admit that when I decided to make these today, I didn't realize that I didn't have much in the way of Christmas cookie decorations. I only had these red, green and white sprinkles, so that's what I had to use. I am sure you could decorate them with so many other adorable Christmas decorations and even some other frosting flavors.

All you need is a box of brownie mix, a can of frosting (of your choice) and small candy canes. That's it.

Make your brownies according to the box and put in a 15 x 9 cookie sheet. Follow the directions on the box for baking time.

Allow the cookies to cool and then pop in the freezer for 30 minutes. I used a donut cookie cutter to cut out my circles. You can use any size that works for you.

Add the hook off of the candy cane. (the best way to break off the hook is to cut it with the paper still on) I sort of pushed it into the brownie. Then frost and decorate. That's it!
