Happiness Is Homemade

Welcome back to the Happiness is Homemade Link Party

Ah Spring, you are such a fickle creature aren't you? Warm one day, cold the next. I know some of you had a White Easter. We don't get that cold, but it was definitely blustery. All I wanted to do was stay inside on those days and eat. Speaking of eating (nice segue, don't you think?).... Do you love to try foods from different cultures as much as I do? This week we have a smorgasbord of 4 unique dishes plus a fun DIY wreath all with an international flair. Check out our features and share what you've got going on. I can't wait to check them out this week. -Audrey from That Recipe.

On with this week's features!

Happiness is Homemade International Features collage

These Medu Vada from A Crafty Homemaker are a spicy Indian Doughnut, made from rice, urad dal (black lentil like beans) and a host of flavorful spices.

Get ready for Margarita Day or Cinco de Mayo with this Fiesta Wreath from Dazzle While Frazzled. I love all of the bright colors.

Just looking at this beautiful Thai Prawn and Pineapple Curry from I Wasn't Expecting That makes my mouth water. And it looks so simple to make too.

I have everything in the kitchen to make this Korean Marinated Sesame Beef from Crafting a Family so it will be on the menu this week because it is one of my favorites and now I can make it at home.

In her description of this Nigeriean Jollof Rice Jas, from All That's Jas, says "Puréed vegetables flavor the rice but are not visible, thus making it a kid-friendly dish." She gets me, she really gets me. Or more accurately she gets Sir Snubs Alot
.

  4. Marilyn,
As usual I love your recipes. Those strawberry crepes look yummy. Need to make them for the grand kids since they love crepes. On the menu for next week when they are here.
