Kitchen Makeover - Part 4 Final

Sorry, it has been awhile since my last installment of my kitchen makeover. I want to share the completed kitchen and how much it cost.

The kitchen is finally done, almost. A couple of things still need to be done, but for now that's OK. For some reason, hubby is OK with almost done. "I will get to it", is his statement. Oh me!

I love how it turned out. The kitchen is so much brighter with the white cabinets and lighter floor. Now all of my appliances are in and the new gas stove worked. Yay!!!
If you followed the renovation, you know I had problems with the stove. You can read all about the previous renovation and issues at this posts - Kitchen Makeover Part 3.

We installed a subway tile back splash and added a frame around the window. It made it a nicer finish for the subway tile.

My daughter has her coffee bar set up on the left side of the window. She loves her Ninja coffee maker.

It has come a long way from where we started. Remember those beige cabinets and brown counter top and of course the white appliances.

Hubby still needs to remake the cabinet over the fridge and we still need to install the under cabinet lights. He will get to them eventually - the lights sooner than the cabinet I hope.

I was somewhat dreading this kitchen makeover but as we got into it, I was pleased at all we were able to do and change.

Hubby had a budget in mind but I always try to get it under it. We budgeted $7,500. We ended up spending $6,065. The breakdown of expenses are:

  • the four appliances - $2800
  • the granite counter tops and 60/40 sink - $2500
  • Delta no spray facuet - $200
  • new kitchen floor - $300
  • Subway back splash - $250
  • some molding for the window - $15
I have a few minor updates to do at that house but the biggies are done. Finally !!!
