FRESH STRAWBERRY CROSTATA
Treatntrick

It has been  2 years since I  baked  Pumpkin Galette.  I have recently managed to purchase fresh strawberries and now it is a time to bake a crostata again. These strawberries are vibrant and absolutely gorgeous,  they stay firm when ripe.  If you need tips of making a perfect crust,  kindly check my Apple Crostata  post.

This Fresh Strawberry Crostata requires a buttery crust and a filling.   Prepare the crust first before proceeding to make the filling.

CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER OVERLOAD SANDWICH COOKIES
This Silly Girl's Kitchen

You’ve guessed it, this is one heck of a cookie! Super moist chocolate cookies are loaded with mini peanut butter cups, chocolate chips and peanut butter chips!

FARMHOUSE FALL CENTERPIECE
Simply Designing

I love creating fun and pretty centerpieces for my kitchen table, mantel or other spots in my home.  With school about to start and fall just around the corner, I decided to get a head start on a fun fall centerpiece for my table.  But I didn’t want a traditional fall centerpiece with pumpkins or leaves.  I don’t have much orange or red in my home so I wanted something that would still match my home AND be fall-ish.  I wanted something beautiful, something rustic, something fun.

5 THINGS TO DO IN THE EVENINGS TO MAKE MORNINGS EASIER
A Virtuous Woman

Summer will soon be coming to a close and the kids will be heading back to school. No more sleeping in, staying in pajamas all morning for a casual breakfast then leisurely starting the day. The chaos of early mornings will soon begin again!

DIY Magnetic Leather pen holder
Vikalpah

I shared an idea of how to add a pen holder to any notebook two years ago.I still use the same notebook and also the pen holder for my blog planning. I also have several small notebooks for different tasks which I carry around the house or sometimes to the library and other places. Sometimes  Most of the time, I will sit down to write something only to find out that I missed taking the pen along with the notebook. So I thought I will make a magnetic pen holder which can be carried along with any notebook or binder.

If there is one thing that I look forward to at the end of summer and each Fall, it is the abundance of cheap and flavorful apples.  I stinkin’ love apples and eat them all year long.

PEACHES N' CREAM
THE FRENCH HUTCH

This ice cream treat started with a gift of homegrown peaches and produce from my sister-in-law. She, along with her husband grow a vegetable garden every summer. Alongside the garden are eight peach trees which produced a bountiful crop this year!

Pizza Egg Puffs with Pizza Dipping Sauce
Premeditated Leftovers

My youngest son is my pickiest eater. It also seems that as soon as we identify a food he likes and stock up on it, he decides he no longer likes it. There are only a few foods that he has consistency liked: milk, cheese, pizza (mostly because of the cheese), peanut butter, crackers (with either peanut butter or cheese), asparagus, and grapes. While other mothers are making elaborate Bento lunches for their kids, I am staring into the refrigerator and trying to think of something that my kid will eat.

All Those Who Wander Are Not Lost Dresser Makeover
Fern Avenue

One family was cleaning out a family members home & garage, and before Habitat was coming they wanted me to take a look.  When I got there I was in complete awe of how much amazing finds there were.  I seriously can't wait to show you a couple of things I am working on...but another day, I promise.  I loaded my trailer & van up with some gorgeous pieces...

Fluffy Birthday Cake Muffins
Brooklyn Farm Girl

These Birthday Cake Muffins are super fluffy, just like a birthday cake – and they taste just like it too!  I include sprinkles inside the batter and then add additional sprinkles on top once in the muffin pan to give them a bright rainbow color all over!    These would be perfect for a Birthday Celebration, but they would also be great for just adding some cheer to a breakfast or bringing a snack gift to leave in the kitchen at work.

Brilliant Back To School DIY Teacher Gifts
A Cultivated Nest

Where did the summer go? Back to school is right around the corner! I think teachers always appreciate a thoughtful gift whether it’s the beginning or end of the year, or even just because. I’ve collected some of my favorite DIY Gifts for Teachers that I’m sure they will love!

Regal Red Decoupage Planter Adds Curb Appeal
Petticoat Junktion

The paint is Delta Ceramcoat and the color is regal red. Don’t you just love blue and red together.  Since our front door is blue I selected the red for an over the top wow factor. Adding the address numbers was a stroke of genius. Patting myself on the back.

When I was a kid, I love the Oatmeal Sandwiches that came in the plastic wrapper with the cream in the middle. I have since banned them from the house – mostly because I could eat a box of them alone hovering in a corner, hiding from the rest of my family. But I do really love baking with my 3 girls. And even a healthy eating household needs a treat every now and then.
