Happy Thursday dear friends. Frist an update on my kitchen - they got it all painted and yesterday they put all of the painted doors back on. Of course that meant that I have my microwave, stove and dishwasher back.
There are still some things to do and some of the doors don't soft close anymore. I will have to fix that. That leaves the countertop with the sink. They have measured twice and each time they bring it, it doesn't fit. I has been a real pain. It is inn place now, although it is not right.
However, we are going on vacation on Sunday and I have told them that they can come and redo it after we get back. My daughter is staying here while we are away and she needed a sink and running water. So all is good for now. I will share pictures when the other quartz has been installed.

Welcome friends to the party. I hope your week is off to a great start. If you follow me you know I am having my kitchen redone. It has been 5 days with no appliances except for a fridge. Today they painted the cabinets and tomorrow they put the doors back on and take off all of the coverings. I can hardly wait.
it feels like forever when you can't cook or reheat. Trying to find anything is crazy. Having everything neat and tidy again can't come soon enough. I'll share pictures once it is done.

Blueberry - Peach Cobbler
It is peach season and what goes great with peaches? Blueberries of course. Well, at least if you picked a lot and have them in the freezer, like me.
When my BIL brought me peaches, I wanted to make a peach cobbler but then I realized that I had lots of blueberries from when we picked them. You might remember that for my FIL birthday, I gave him a series of cards, one for each month that entitled him to a dessert from me. I thought this would make a great birthday dessert.

Unfortunately, they covered the microwave, stove, and dishwasher. I still have use of the sink and the fridge but that's all. No cooking or even reheating for me. We do have a tabletop oven outside.
