Valentines Week on Happiness Is Homemade

Hello dear friends. Well it is Valentine's Day this week. So we have gathered some great Valentine's Day ideas for you. Do you go out for Valentine's Day? We never do, I make dinner for us and a nice dessert.

Of course, tomorrow is Super Bowl Sunday. I know that many people like to celebrate and get excited about the game. I use to love the half time and commercials, but the last couple of years, they don't seem to be that great in my opinion. I think this year I am not watching the game.

It is my daughter's birthday so we will celebrate that and have fun. Are you excited for the game?

It Is Wonderful Wednesday Time

Hello dear friends. I hope you are all doing well. I have been very busy with some furniture refinishing and painting. I have some pieces that I had in storage and my friend just moved here, so I am giving some to her. Of course I have to fix some of them up.

I actually gave the pieces to her before I could take any pictures. Silly me.

Sorry I Am Late with Happiness Is Homemade

So sorry I am late. Can you believe that I forgot what day it was. Well, I know but forgot. I was helping my daughter with projects around her house and I guess I just got too tired.

This Week's Features

MaryJo over at Master"pieces" of My Life shared 5 fantastic Valentine's decorations that can be made with moss, like this fabulous XOXO wreath. I love that all of the ideas are unique and move away from the standard red and pink of normal Valentine's decor ideas!

If you're creating an at home Valentine's celebration like we are, this heart napkin fold creating by Debbee of Debbee's Buzz would be the perfect addition to your tablescape of love!

These heart shaped rice krispie treats, shared by Lenny of Fat Dad Foodie, would be the perfect addition to your child's classroom Valentine's Day party. You wouldn't even have to send an extra Valentine for each child because these cuties would be made in their very own heart shaped cookie cutter that they can take home!

I'm sure that all of our crafty friends out there have some scrap wood lying around somewhere. This DIY pallet photo holder made by Regina from Saved from Salvage would be a great way to use up some of that wood that's just collecting dust. It's a piece of decor that you can change up for every season and holiday with ease!

Julie over at Sum of Their Stories made this recycled heart art canvas was made with things that she found in her craft stash, and I'm sure you have everything you need to make your own already. I can just picture a large version of this as a photo backdrop for a wedding (in your wedding colors) or for parties. Wouldn't that be cute?!

Sewing and Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party

Happy Thursday friends. The weather this week has been beautiful. I am working on a project for my friend who just bought a house near me. They lived around the corner in Davie with us. We have ben long friends. They sold their house last January and have been traveling in their fifth wheel. They spent a month hear in December and bought a house.

We are so delighted that they have moved near us. They sold all of their furniture or gave some of it to family and friends. They I have two pieces that I am giving back to them and another neighbor gave them a piece. Their son also gave them back their dining room set. All is coming together.

My daughter had this wrought iron furniture that she no longer wanted. So I have been sanding and painting the pieces. I also made new covers for all of the pieces. Here is one chair that is done. I hope to show you all of the finished pieces next week.

Feeling Great and Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop

Hello dear friends. I am finally back to my healthy self. I even went to zumba class on Monday, although I did get tired. Today I feel great.

I have been working on recovering some cushions for a wrought iron outdoor set that my daughter has. I made cushions for it years ago and they have faded badly. It has one chair and one chair with an stool and a settee and a wrought iron side table.

Valentine Hearts and Thursday Favorite Things

Happy Thursday friends. Well, I did make it home safely last week. However, I developed bronchitis on Friday and have been sick ever since. I am finally getting better but still quite weak. Last night I ate my first actual meal.

My Mom is doing better but my sister got bronchitis the same day as me. We now think Mom gave it to both of us but she didn't have any bronchitis. There seems to be various systems to this flu like condition.

Needless to say, I didn't get to the comments. Thank you for them.

Happy Monday. My trip to Pittsburgh, was wonderful but when I came home, I developed bronchitis. I have been dealing with it since then. My head and chest hurt so bad. I can't seem to stop coughing.

Heading Home on Thursday Favorite Things

Happy Thursday dear friends. I am heading home today from Pittsburgh. I had a wonderful week with my Mom and sister. Unfortunately, my Mom got sick on Wednesday which was upsetting knowing I had to leave on Thursday.

She was doing better Wednesday evening but disturbing none the less. Fortunately, My sister is off on Thursday and Friday so she will be with her. It is always hard being so far away.
