Snickerdoodle Crumb Bars

Do you ever want to make something sweet but you don't have all of the right ingredients. It seems like every recipe calls for something you don't have.

Well, here is a recipe that uses ingredients that are pantry basics, so you can bake up a batch on demand. Nothing special needed.

Glazed Pumpkin Donuts

I just returned from visiting my children and grand kids in Vermont. The weather was great - warm during the day, with no humidity' and cool crisp evenings.

I arrived home to Florida with cooler weather as well, so when I saw this recipe for glazed pumpkin donuts, I thought these would be great for this cool weather day.

Banana Cake with Pecan-Crumb Topping

A few weeks ago a friend gave me some bananas and I made this Banana Bread with dark chocolate chips. Well, two days ago he sent more bananas, lots more(like 46 of them). I made another batch of banana bread and this one - Banana Cake with Pecan Crumb Topping.

Double Chocolate Chip Muffins

You can never have too much chocolate - at least that is my motto. These muffins will put the zing in your step in the morning or anytime of the day.

Since I send most of my desserts into my husband's work, they are always asking for something chocolate so I thought these would be perfect.

Luscious Cherry Bars

Do you have some great recipes that you haven't made in a very, very long time? Well, I do. I am not sure if I forget about them or with all of the new recipes showing up, they seem to replace my old favorites. Whatever the reason, I was looking for a recipe and found this Luscious Cherry Bars recipe and thought wow, I haven't made this in years. This would be a great dessert to make and send into my husband's office.

Caramel Crunch Bars - NO Bake

It was one of those days - I wanted to bake something, but didn't know what. As I was straightening up the pantry, the decision was made for me. I found a bag of Kraft caramel bits and this recipe was on the back. Decision made!!

Luscious Jamaretti Cookies

I found this recipe in a little pamphlet called Everyday Food from Martha Stewart. It is a little old (I was trying to organize my recipes) and wondered why I have never made them before. I needed something for my husband to take to work and these were it.

Easy Cherry Hand Pies

I love to make hand pies. There's just something about picking up one of these in my hand to eat. I am usually walking with my food, that could be why. Do you do that - pick your food up and off you go?

Awesome Chocolate Chip Cookies with Pecans

Do you love Chocolate Chip Cookies? They are my favorite cookie.  For this batch of chocolate chip cookies, I decided to change them up a little - add some oats and pecans.

Luscious Brownies

I'm not a gadget person usually. I do not have lots of tools in the kitchen for baking, only the main essentials. Sometimes I see a fancy pan or mold that I like, but then I think, "how often would I really use it"? So I usually put it back. Are you like that or do you go ahead and buy it?

Well, on a recent trip to JoAnn fabrics, I decided to keep the fancy pan. With this fancy pan, I made these adorable brownies. Can food be adorable?

Spooky Ghost Cakes

Each year we hold a Pumpkin Carving party on our street. You have to bring your own pumpkins and we give you several hours to carve. Everyone brings an - appetizer and a dessert -  and we eat, drink and carve. I decided to make these Ghost Cakes as my dessert.

I wish I could say that they turned out so adorable, but that would be stretching it big time.

Double Chocolate Chip Cookie Ice Cream Pie

Have you enjoyed ice cream this summer,  especially with all of the warm weather we have had. It is still hot here in southern Florida and maybe where you are, so I thought why not an ice cream pie. Although it does NOT have to be hot to eat ice cream.

Blueberry Individual Pies

Sometimes you just need a dessert, right? I think I allow myself to think it is healthier if I add fruit. I know, that's silly but fruit, like blueberries, makes these individual pies yummy.

They are great as a dessert or yummy for breakfast. We like them warm with the blueberries oozing out.

5 Summer Mango Desserts

Summer time and time for fresh mangoes.

We love mangoes at our house and having two trees in your yard is a bonus. In the summer I seem to put mangoes in everything, desserts, dinner meals, and even breakfast.

I thought I would share some of my mango desserts with you so you too could enjoy this awesome fruit.

Caramel Pecan Brownies

We all love brownies, right? Oh, what variations you can do with brownies: frosted, powdered sugar, nuts, cream cheese. What a versatile dessert?

Well, I have another variation to share with you - Caramel Pecan Brownies. These brownies go together quickly since you start with a box of brownie mix.

Use a brownie mix and Kraft Bits to make these gooey bars.

Key Lime Bars

Although I love lemon desserts, I had key limes available so when you want a dessert, use what you have.  When I first saw these Lemon Cheesecake Bars from Aimee I knew I wanted to try them.

Jamaretti Cookies

The holidays are over and we have finished baking all of those Christmas cookies - right. Well, maybe. What if you wanted a holiday cookie? I am not sure what constitutes a "holiday" cookie. I often make chocolate chip cookies at Christmas but don't think of them as a Christmas cookie. Or is it that we make lots of cookies at the holidays and call them all "holiday cookies".

I found this recipe in a little pamphlet called Everyday Food from Martha Stewart. It is a little old (result of organizing) and wondered why I have never made them before. I needed something for my husband to take to work and these were it.

Christmas Chocolate Chips and Memories

I was making these Christmas Chocolate Chip cookies the other day and thinking about all the treats we use to make at Christmas when I was little. My mother liked to bake, I guess that is were I get it. Desserts consisted of cakes, pies, donuts, cookies and sometimes we even had eclairs.

We didn't have a lot of money to buy store bought goodies, but we always had some kind of dessert. That is probably why I still love desserts. Wish I didn't.
