Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. Mine has been very busy painting. Not my house but my in-laws new home. We started painting last Saturday and are still at it. The living room, kitchen, spare bedroom and hallway are done. We still need a second coat on the master bedroom and then there are those accent walls in both bedrooms. Of course they are dark colors and I will start them today. I know they will take several coats. Then there will be both bathrooms. I am sick of painting!
They are coming to clean the carpets on Monday so I must be done by then. Wish me luck!

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that it is September? We had some rain today, but not from Ida. Not even sure where it came from but it did cause temps to drop. Hubby was away for the day so I turned the air off and had the doors open. There was a nice breeze and it was so nice to not be closed up in the house. (Had to put air back on when hubby came home)
So for the first day of September, I was kind of thinking of fall. No where near fall temps but it got me in the mood. I hope all of you that are still dealing with Ida that you are safe and not getting too much rain. September is always the worst month for hurricanes and I hope it is not bad. Be safe and take care!

Happy Thursday! Wow, I can't believe that we are nearing the end of August. Summer is just flying by. With summer, it means lots of heat and we are having it but those in the north are having hot temps as well. I think some places up north are hotter than here in central Florida. Talk about climate change!
Of course the heat means swimming and keeping cool, if you can. Even the dogs are not happy to be outside for too long. On these hot days, I give them frozen watermelon. I they love it and it seems to cool them down. I just cut up small pieces and freeze them on a tray and then put them in a container. Do you do anything special for your pets when it is hot?

Happy Thursday! It has been a busy week. Working on some projects but none of them are done yet. It's one of those things were you paint one projects and wait for it to dry and then move on to another one and then back to the first one later. You know how that goes - round and round.
It has been so hot here in Florida, but that is to be expected in
August. It is the heat index that is the really bad part. Today was 109 with the heat index. Yikes! Are you having heat waves or enjoying some cooler weather?
Just an update on my Mom, she is doing well after her fall. The bruises on her face are mostly gone and her finger is still in a splint. So all is well. Thanks for all of your kind words.

Happy Thursday! Life is good. I am on my way back home after having a girls night with my bestie. I had not seen her in 7 weeks so it was long over do. We laughed, drank (a little) cooked and then she gave me a facial. She does that for a living.
There is nothing like a girls night together. We use to have more time together but since I moved, I only get to see her about every 5 weeks. it is 4 hours one way to her house, but it is worth it.

Happy Thursday! It's August and that means - back to school. Scholl is starting here in Florida next Monday. Yikes, I think that is early. What ever happened to going back to school after Labor Day? When does school start in your area.
I guess fall will be here soon! I have seen Halloween, fall decor and even Christmas decor at Hobby Lobby for about 3 weeks now. The year is just going by too fast.

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday! We are on the road again heading home. I enjoyed my time in Vermont and especially spending time with the grandkids. The weather was wonderful. Warm, in the mid 80s. Loved that. We had rain late one evening but other than that, it was beautiful.
We had several bonfires and the kids set off fireworks one night. Of course there were smores. I cooked a lot and made several desserts. We ate well. I especially enjoyed cooking with my grandson. He loves to cook. He even asked for some of my recipes.
I want to apologize for not answering comments these last couple of weeks. It has been hard to get the time.

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday! You probably are not going to believe this, but I am on the road again. It was rather sudden. Hubby wanted to come to Vermont to see our son. We looked at dates and then hubby said, "let's go on Tuesday". Of course I had just driven 15 hours from PA on last Thursday and now 23 hours to Vermont. We wanted to fly but driving gave us the most flexibility.
We drove for 15 hours and then spent the night. We were both tired. On Wednesday, we drove around 8 hours. Now to enjoy the grand kids and my son. The guys will be doing projects, mainly chopping down trees for fire wood. I am usually doing some yard work and lots of cooking while my DIL works.
Of course there is the drive back home. Not looking forward to that, but will think of it next week.

Happy Thursday! Well, I am writing this a little early since I will be traveling back to Florida on Wednesday. I had a wonderful visit with my Mom and sister. It is always so difficult to leave not knowing when I will see them again. I try to make it every few months.

Happy Thursday! I hope you are all doing well. For those in Florida I hope you are all fine and have weathered the storm. I pray that all of you up the east coast will also be safe from Elsa.
I actually left on Tuesday morning to come to Pittsburgh, PA to see my Mom. I was going to leave on Wednesday, but with Elsa rolling in, I decided to leave on Tuesday and since I was driving, no problem.
I use to make that trip a lot but I have not done it in a couple of years. It was long, since I came by myself. However, the weather was nice and I enjoyed seeing the wonderful mountains in Virginia and West Virginia.

Happy July 1st! Here we are beginning the month of July. Wow, this summer is flying by already. The best part of this week is that we have a long week coming up - 4th of July holiday here in the U.S.

Thursday Favorite Things
Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things Party
Happy Thursday! Can you believe that we are still having rain? Wow, everyday, mostly late afternoon thru evening, we get these huge storms. The poor dogs hate this weather, not only because of the thunder but every time they need to go to the bathroom, it is raining.
The garden is certainly loving all of the rain and my blackberries are forming fruit again. That's weird. The squash are getting larger by the day. I have had to put the squash in the freezer because they are ripening so fast.
My brother-in-law came down from Georgia and brought a bushel of peaches. They were so good, but when I had back problems last week, I wasn't able to can any so I cut them and placed them on trays and froze them and then hubby vacuum packed them. I did make hubby a peach pie for Father's Day. It is is favorite dessert.

Happy Thursday! I hope your week has been great so far. Mine has been good. We had have lots of rain. Today was pretty good with only some sprinkles. The plants, veggies and flowers are loving it.
The rain forced me indoors to work on some sewing. I made drapes for my she shed door and one pillow for outside. I was working on the other pillow when the zipper that I put in broke. No matter what I did, I could not get it fixed. I ripped it out and had to go and get a new one. That was frustrating, but what can you do?
I also began working on a rag type wreath. Hopefully, I will get it finished soon, if it continues to rain. If not, outside projects will take over.

Well, it has been going quite well, except for the fact that I keep adding to the list. I cross one item off and add about 3-4 more. lol!! I think I have enough projects around the house to keep me busy all summer, especially when I keep adding new ones.

Happy Thursday! I hope your week is going well. I can't believe it is Thursday already. I think with Monday being a holiday, that it made the week go faster.
I am heading down to Davie today to see my friend. I have not been there for 2 months. I need a girls night and she said she needs one too. I know we will be laughing all evening.
We have finally opened up here at the stores and even the library, it is like normal. You only have to wear a mask if you have not had your shots. It is so wonderful to see people's faces, instead of just their eyes.

Happy Thursday! We are finally on a camping trip. It has been two years since our last trip. In 2019 we moved into our new home so we did not go camping and then covid hit. I forgot a few things since it had been so long since we went camping. I did bring enough food however. Thanks what counts!
It is really hot here but there is a slight breeze. Yesterday they launched a rocket for the space center. We sat near the water and watched it go up. It was so cool. What a sight. My first rocket launch.
The dogs had a little bit of time adjusting to being in the motorhome again but are getting used to it. We have several more trips planned so they will be adjusted soon.

Happy Thursday! Can you believe that April is almost over. This year is off to a flying start. My Mom had her 96th birthday yesterday. She is in good health. My sister came down to Pittsburgh from upstate New York and my youngest lives there. I was able to Facetime her and wish her a happy birthday. I will be heading up there next Thursday for Mother's Day.
