Happy Thursday and a Happy New Year. I hope your new year is off to a great start. Mine has been great. I was able to put all of my Christmas decorations away. I am heading to Pittsburgh today to see my Mom and sister and wanted it all done before I left. Mission accomplished.
The weather is going to be cold compared to the weather we have been having here in central Florida. A little cold will be alright. Snow flurries on the weekend. I haven't seen snow since I was there last year.

Happy Thursday. This month is flying by and Christmas will be here before we know it. I did my cards and mailed my packages yesterday. Then I wrapped my presents and put them under the tree.
I am so excited to be done. I am still deciding on whether or not to make cookies. I like to bake but I don't like all of those sweets being around. How to you feel about all of those desserts? Do you bake?

Happy December 1st. I had cataract surgery on Tuesday on my right eye. It went well. I am doing better each day. I am seeing better but I still reach for glasses but they don't work. lol!

Happy Thursday. All is good here. The weather has cooled down here in Florida and it feels wonderful.
I had cataract surgery on Tuesday on my left eye. It went well. I am doing better each day. I chose to have them correct both my near and far vision. It is amazing what they can do these days. I will have the right eye done on the 29th. I am excited to experience the outcome. Looking forward to not having to wear glasses.

Happy Thursday. Well, I am still here in PA since Nicole has decided to come to Florida and the airports are shutdown. Hopefully, I will be going home on Sunday now. My Mom is so happy I am staying longer.
The weather has been great although it is to really cool down on Saturday. Silly me, didn't bring a coat with me, only a sweater. I did bring a couple of heavy tops. I should be fine. lol!

Happy Thursday. Thank you for all of your well wishes. I am finally doing better. It has taken a lot longer than it ever did before. The vertigo just wants to stay around. I spent 10 days at home before I finally felt better. It was a doozy!

Happy Thursday! We are finally experiencing fall here in central Florida. The days are around 82 degrees and the nights are going down to the low 60's. That may not seem like fall to you, but after such extreme hot temps that we had, this feels like fall and I love it.
We don't have "fall foliage" here, but my son has been sending some fall foliage pictures from Vermont. He gets to enjoy fall foliage on his property.

Branches and Bats on Thursday Favorite Things

Happy Thursday dear friends. I have been doing some fall creating. I need to get up in the attic and bring down my fall decorations, but that hasn't happened yet. Hopefully, soon.

It's The Thursday Favorite Things party

Happy Thursday dear friends and the first day of September. I just came back from a few says with my friend in Miami. We always have such a great time together.
An update on my kitchen. They brought the third counter top on Saturday and we were so excited that it would all get done. Initially, things didn't go well, but then they seemed to get better. Unfortunately, the guy was playing with the sink and dropped it and cracked the corner. I couldn't believe it.
After talking with the contractor, we decided to just screw the sink in and not caulk it and then finish the rest. They ordered a new sink and it to come today. Hopefully, they can install it by this weekend. At least we have a functional kitchen.
The new appliances came on Sunday. So we are moving in the right direction. One of these days. lol!

Stop by Thursday Favorite Things Party

Happy Thursday dear friends. I am having a great week since I am finally well. The weather is still quite hot here in central Florida. I love looking at all of the fall and Halloween posts, but it is really hard to think about fall when it is 95 degrees and the heat index is around 103.
Just an update on the kitchen, half of my kitchen is finished while the other have is not done. They have put the counter top in twice, but has been wrong each time. On the second install, they cracked my sink when they tried to take out the countertop.
They ordered another sink, but unfortunately, it was cracked when it arrived.
Needless to say, the side that is not done is where the sink is. so we have not have any water in the kitchen. We are so frustrated. I can't believe it has taken this long.
We delayed having the new appliances installed until the end of August. so they come this weekend, and we still don't have countertop on that side where the dishwasher will go. It has certainly stretched our patience.
