Creating an Autumn Tray with Dollar Tree Items

Creating an Autumn Tray with Dollar Tree Items

With fall here, there are so many items that can be used to create an autumn tray for your home. Sometimes these items can come from things you already have, from your yard, from the Dollar Tree or a combination of these. My Autumn tray is a combination.

If you are coming over from The Antiqued Journey, thank you.

For my Autumn tray, I found this light up pumpkin at the Dollar Tree. I thought it would be great for Halloween, but then realized that I wanted this tray to stay out all fall. That meant it had to change a little.

First off, I removed the black netting. It was still not right. The stem was black.

So I decided to wrap twine around the stem to fit in with the rest of my tray.

I found the ribbon at the Dollar Tree and made a couple of bows.

I had bought the pumpkin and leaf sprig at Hobby Lobby on sale. I already had the metal acorns, but you could use real ones or store bought ones. You could also use small pine cones.

I found the burlap leaves at the the Dollar Tree.

I also had the red and yellow leaf candles and some berries to put in the center.

I am sure you can find similar items to create a tray of your own. The great thing about fall, is that you will find so many great items that you can use to create your own Autumn tray.

Thank you. The funny thing was that originally, I did not have it as part of my tray. It was not until I started to deconstruct it that it became the center piece.

    1. Barbara,
It seems that you need to buy when you see it at the Dollar Tree or else you won't see it when you go back - that has been my experience. I was not sure what I was going to do with that pumpkin, but loved it.
As I started to take it apart, I started to like it better for my tray.
The twine was a last minute idea.
      Hugs,

  16. This is adorable Bev! I love the vintage bread board you used as a tray and way you made over the pumpkin so it would work! The pumpkin looks so cute perche on top of the leaves and berries surrounded by pumpkins acorna and bows. The tray looks fantastic styled on the plaid table runner, this just might be my favorite of the hop!

  19. Bev, it's always amazing to see the huge variety of trays that are built with essentially the same ingredients -- pumpkins, acorns, fall ribbons/fabric and candles. Truly great inspiration! I especially liked the reminder that you can tweak what you have or what you buy to fit your vision! Happy touring with you!
