Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!

Happy Thursday!  Here it is the last Thursday in August. It is coming to a close too quickly. We are in Vermont and the weather is delightful. Today was so beautiful with temps around 77. I am so loving this weather.

Hubby and my son are having a great time cutting down trees for firewood. That is their favorite past time. They have an 80 acre farm with many trees on it especially Maple ones so they have no problem with firewood.

Labor Day is right around the corner. Do you have anything special planned? we don't have any specific plans other than doing some work around the house and a cook out.

Check out my wonderful features and then link up your posts. Have a great day.

We are so enjoying being here in Vermont. The weather has been so lovely. It is supposed to cool down some so we might make your pumpkin mug cakes. My grand daughter loves pumpkin.
Hope you are having a lovely Labor Day weekend.

  7. Thursdays, the end of summer and the beginning of fall and now an empty nest. Where does the time go? Thanks for hosting this link party! My link is #117 with a post of a book review of a title more for the Middle School ages but I enjoyed the adventure story anyway. Time to read again!

    1. Time flies by. It is hard to believe that summer is over, although I guess not officially. I am so glad that you had some time for reading for yourself. I love having a book in my hand. I take one everywhere, just in case I have to wait.
      Have a lovely day.

The farm is heavenly. It is so quiet here. It is hard to believe that they live about 10 minutes from downtown Montpelier. There is always something going on here.
Hope your Labor Day weekend has been enjoyable.

  12. Hi Bev! I love that lavender wreath - and I admire anyone who can grow it since I have struggled to do so! I'm sharing a few glimpses around my place at #152 with simple reminders that even small changes can pack a punch. Wishing you kindness, peace, and a sweet spirit of contentment which makes this day feel sacred. xox

Thanks for sharing at TFT party. Your home always looks so lovely and serene. I have to admit, that mine is more cluttered. However, I agree that simple changes can mean a big difference.
Hope you are enjoying the holiday weekend.

    1. Amy,
It wasn't planned but it is nice to be here in Vermont rather than dealing with the hurricane, but worry about my daughter and friends.
I love that Chocolate cake and the chocolate zucchini brownies. You can't go wrong with chocolate. Pinned them both.
      Have a lovely day.
      Hugs,
      Bev
