Spring Burlap Wreath

Spring Burlap Wreath

There are so many beautiful wreaths. I was thinking about what kind of wreath I wanted for my front door. As I looked at my supplies, I found some flowers I could use, but no base for the wreath.

Then I found a frame, I knew it would make a great base for my wreath.

Over The Moon Linky Party

Welcome to Over The Moon Linky Party

Update, the house went on the market on Friday and it has been so nice to be away from it for a few days. We celebrated my father-in-laws 90th birthday yesterday and all three of his sons and families were there. The boys surprised him be coming in for his birthday. We had lots of great food and laughter. They took him golfing 2 days and he beat all three of his boys both days. I hope I am still going that strong when I am that age.

Happiness Is Homemade

Welcome to Happiness Is Homemade!

Here we are at almost the end of March. We are having beautiful weather, nice during the day and cool in the evenings. Hopefully, those of you in cooler weather areas, you are beginning to experience some spring like temps. April should bring warmer weather and lovely spring flowers.

We have a new hostess for the month of April so check in with Susan below to meet her and hear a little about her.

Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!

Well, March is coming to an end. We are actually having cooler weather than we had in February. Crazy! Tomorrow is the day! What day you ask, the day our house goes on the market. It has been a whirl wind week getting it all organized. My realtor said I went way beyond. That's OK because we are heading out of town for 5 days and I am NOT going to do anything! It is my father-in-laws 90 birthday and all of his kids are coming in and we will have a great time. I put the house with my friend/realtor and let her do her thing.

Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop

Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!

Well, here we are with the last WWBH party in March.  I am feeling as though this year is going to go as fast as last year. After all, March is almost gone and then April will be here. They say as you get older, time seems to go faster. Boy are they right.

Right now I am trying to get though each day. As I have told you, getting ready to sell the house has taken up all of my time. Fortunately, it goes on the market on Thursday. We also leave on Thursday to go to our other house for a birthday celebration for my Father-in-law.  He will be 90 so we are having a big party with all of his children coming in.  The timing couldn't be more perfect since I am ready to relax.

Easter Mini Cheesecakes

Easter Mini Cheesecakes

Cheesecake is just one of those desserts  that you can make in so many ways: Chocolate, New York style, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Macadamia nut. Are you getting my drift here? Endless possibilities!

I bake for my husband's office often. It gives me a chance to make desserts which is my favorite thing to do, but hate having too much dessert around.

These Easter Mini Cheesecakes came from Kraft. I thought they would be great to send into the office and a little Easter thrown in as well. They are super easy to make.

Let's see how to make these scrumptious little morsels.

Over The Moon Linky Party

Welcome to Over The Moon Linky Party

First I want to apologize to all of you that posted a comment last week. I am truly so sorry that I did not respond. As I have mentioned, we are getting the house ready to list this week and I have been going crazy. I am one of those that has to repaint the walls and baseboards and everything else. So please bare with me as I get to your comments this week.

Happiness Is Homemade

Welcome to Happiness Is Homemade!

What a day it has been. I told you that we are getting our house ready to sell. It has been rather stressful but it is coming along. Today I was putting down mulch (50 bags, so far) and my husband yells for my. Here when he pulled out the washing machine to clean behind it, something happened so when I put in a load of rags, the water went all over the floor and into the garage. What a mess! Needless to say, cleaning that up was not on our list of projects for the day. We got it cleaned up and by then I was more exhausted than I thought possible. I was even too tired to eat.  At least the garage floor is clean!

Now a word from our monthly hostess:
March is National Crafting Month in the US, so I have some crafty features from last week's party including a crafty home decor idea and recipe idea. Plus, I had to include the post about the California Super Bloom since I live a few miles south of one of the most popular viewing sites. It's a nightmare, don't come! Seriously, the poor town has become overrun with traffic and trash and people are trampling the flowers and parking on the freeway letting their kids play. But the hills are breathtaking! ~Audrey from That Recipe

Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!

Can you believe that spring is officially here. Yeah!! Not sure what type of weather you are having, but we have had rain. I guess that means spring is here in southern Florida. I bought some flowers and was not able to put them in pots since it rained all day yesterday and a big part of today. It is supposed to be sunny tomorrow so I maybe I can get them transplanted. Hope you are enjoying some spring like weather.

Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop

Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!

Wow, I thought February went fast, but March seems to be flying by just as fast. We had our first rain in some time today and of course it has rained all day. Although we needed it, the dogs were not happy about it. They wanted to go out, but then they would see the rain and come right back in. I can't blame them, who wants to go pee in the rain. lol!

Welcome to You're The Star - Home Feature Week!

Happy Monday! Hope you had a wonderful weekend and ready for a new week. I came home last night from my trip to Vermont and all of that snow, which you can see in the picture below. Now I am back where it is warm and no snow, yes!

Over The Moon Linky Party

Welcome to Over The Moon Linky Party

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you. Maybe you celebrate or maybe you don't. I am flying today so no celebration for me just sitting at airports. I hated to leave the grand kids. It always seems as though the time goes so quickly. They were hoping that my flight would get cancelled for about a week, but that didn't happen. I am already looking forward to my next trip. It is so hard when you live so far away. In the meantime, I hope you have a great upcoming week.

Snow is Pretty to Look At

Snow is Pretty to Look At!

Yes, when the snow falls and lands on the trees and their branches, it is a lovely setting. I have been enjoying many of these such occurrences while visiting Vermont. Except for 2 days, it has snowed everyday since I arrived. After 8 days, you might think I should be use to it, but NO. Although it is pretty to look at, it is still cold.

Click your heels together three times and repeat after me: Spring is almost here, Spring is almost here, Spring is almost here. I know it is hard to believe if you were stuck at home this week in the latest blizzard, but the calendar says it is almost Spring. Well I can't promise when Spring will arrive to your neighborhood, but I can offer you some lovely some Spring features this week. Lots of gardening, decorating and crafting tips, plus a delicious strawberry jam recipe to tuck away for when the strawberry farms open in your area.

Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!

Hope your week has a been a good one so far. Mine has been great. I am enjoying being with the grand kids in Vermont and the snow has not been too bad, although it has snowed almost every day since I arrived. I have not seen this much snow in a very long time. It is pretty to look at. It is supposed to warm up by Friday. Of course that means melting snow and slush. Not sure what I like better. It's always nice to know that I will be going home to warm Florida temps.

Many of my features come from you my commenters. Don't forget to leave your Linkup Number or Post Title so I can find you and you could become one of my featured commenters next week.

Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop

Welcome to Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop!

I am so excited that you are here this week. I am in Vermont visiting with the grand babies, although they are not that little anymore. My grandson is now a little taller than me and he will be 14 in a couple of months. My grand daughter is still a head shorter and she is 11.  I thought I was going to have lots of time to work on my blog, but my son and daughter-in-law just had a new kitchen put in so things are everywhere. We spent most of the weekend trying to get the kitchen organized. That was hard since it is not mine. I was putting things where I thought they should go. She only changed one thing, so I must have done good.

Today I have been working on the living room drapes and furniture. So much for relaxation. lol! I am enjoying it however. All the while, it is snowing outside and everything is white.

Welcome to the Wonderful Wednesday Blog Hop

Welcome to our blog party! Most of you are well-versed in how blog hops work. If you are new to blog hops, though, this simple definition of a blog hop may help. A blog hop is an online event where bloggers share links to their best posts. Guests also come by and look through the list of posts, visiting the ones they like the most. They may find a really great recipe to save or a creative idea (DIY, craft project, home decor, etc) to try, get some money making tips and on and on. You do NOT have to be a blogger to enjoy a blog hop. If you like browsing through magazines, you will love visiting blog hops! Our party features posts that our visitors viewed most the previous week. Here are the ones you visited most LAST week! This time around we had a tie for the "most viewed" category:

You're The Star - Family Feature Week

Welcome to You're The Star - Family Feature Week

It's another Monday morning. Hope you are all doing well and ready for a new week. I am sitting here looking out at tons of snow. This is unusual for me living in Florida, because this week I am visiting my grand kids in Vermont. The snow is pretty but it was blistery cold yesterday. My thin blood can't take all of this cold. Of well, it is nice for awhile. Hope you are staying warm and have a great week.

Over The Moon Linky Party

Welcome to Over The Moon Linky Party

Normally I tell you that the weather is warm, but not today. I am in Vermont with the grand kids and that means cold and snow. Yikes! The wind is blowing and the snow is swirling - not my cup of tea. Fortunately, I am staying indoors. I am cold just looking out at the snow, although it does look pretty.

Happiness Is Homemade

Welcome to Happiness Is Homemade!

Are you ready for St. Patrick's Day? If not we have some great recipes and projects that will get you in the mood. Audrey has gathered up some wonderful posts for you to enjoy.

This week's features on Happiness is Homemade have a bit of an Irish flair in honor of St. Patrick's Day next week. No corned beef and cabbage or green dyed beer, but some fun projects and recipes as well as a great furniture makeover.
May love and laughter light your days, and warm your heart and home. May good and faithful friends be yours, wherever you may roam. May peace and plenty bless your world with joy that long endures. May all life’s passing seasons bring the best to you and yours! -Irish Blessing
Have a great week, ~Audrey from That Recipe Happiness is Homemade St Patrick's Day Collage Colleen from My Life on Kaydeross Creek turned a beat up thrift store find into this beautiful piece of furniture. painted-furniture-antique-hutch-makeover-using-pure-original-paint-paint-techniques-life-on-kaydeross-creek I absolutely adore this tiny framed shamrock from Celebrating Everyday Life. Great for St. Patrick's Day, but it would also be a fun little treasure for a child going off to college, someone starting a new job, or anyone that needs a little luck. Linda from a Labour of Life shows you how to fold Shamrock napkins for a festive table. She makes it look so easy I think I could even duplicate it.   If you want a traditional Irish meal (as opposed to the Irish American Corned Beef) try this Shepherd's Pie from Comfort Spring Station. If you make lamb for Easter, be sure to save this recipe to make with the leftovers. Thursday Favorite Things

Welcome to Thursday Favorite Things!

March is such a changeable month, in which we can see warm spring-like temperatures or late-season snowstorms. We had very warm temperatures here in south Florida at the beginning of the month and then a cold snap hit on Tuesday night. It actually felt good for a change but temps will go back up by the weekend. Many of you are experiencing crazy March temps too. Hang in there and enjoy the warm spring-like ones knowing that they will be coming soon to stay.

Many of my features come from you my commenters. Don't forget to leave your Linkup Number or Post Title so I can find you and you could become one of my featured commenters next week.
